Through the Lilias Centre’s Cycle Train-the-Trainer Programme
Ebike Freedom CIC, in partnership with Lilias Centre launch a Cycle Train-the-Trainer Programme and equip women in custody with the skills and confidence needed to break free from cycles of imprisonment and marginalisation in March 2025. This innovative programme offers a leadership pathway, enabling women to become cycle leaders and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. This peer-led approach creates a ripple effect of knowledge-sharing and confidence-building, offering women a tangible way out of marginalisation.

The programme is proudly supported by Cycling Scotland’s Access to Bikes, Parking and Storage Fund 2024, which promotes equitable access to cycling. This funding had sponsored the bikes ensures that women in custody not only learn valuable skills but also gain access to sustainable transport options and secure bike storage, helping them overcome barriers to mobility and independence.
